Session 6 Podcasts

This is an awesome tool for teachers/schools to post info or lessons, etc. It would be a great way to get any information off the Internet quickly, saving many hours of research time. In this age of technology, our students are so advanced on internet use, that using rss, wikis, blogging, podcasts and vodcasts, etc. will grab their interest. I believe the student will enjoy learning once again.

This class has been a very informative and enlightening experience for me. I am in hopes that when we go back to our classrooms in the fall, we will be able to have access to all these websites.
I will be able to use these sites to get info/updates out to my athletes and their parents quickly.

Session 5 Wikis

I am learning how to use Wikis and google docs. I think this will be a very useful tool for doing collaborative work with other users. It will be great for saving time while doing research on the web. Google docs is a great way to keep outside sources organized into one area and not bog down your email with so many drafts.

Session 4 Flickr

This has been so educational! I have really had fun with flickr and saving my pictures.
Flickrstorm has many great images for my blog! I have enjoyed exploring these different
pages.

Session 3 Tags

I set up a new del.icio.us account! It will be a great tool for me. I am learning so much in this class and really enjoying it. I am exploring many options that will be useful in my teaching.

Session 2 RSS

I found local and world news sites that I like to read to stay updated.



I also found sports sites that I like to read.

Session 1 Blogging

My Goals for this class :


To learn ways the internet can aid me and my students.


To enable my students and parents information throughout the year about current sport events, tryouts, dates and times.

Lady Warrior Volleyball Tryouts

The first day of tryouts will be the first day of school.
August 25, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. til 6:00 p.m.

7th grade will continue the rest of the week at 7:15 a.m.
8th grade will continue the rest ot the week at 4:00 p.m.

Teams will be posted August 29th after school.
